Bob, Jerry and I are leaving Lafayette at 5am to make it down there for breakfast...so save us 3 spots there teach. Be there as soon as we can. We have to be back in Lafayette by 4pm so both Jerry and I can hit some graduation parties...
so Les, if you want to go but be back in time to hit a grad party you're welcome to catch a ride with us! If you can't go then I have one more seat but we're leaving terre haute early to be back in Laf by 4pm (leave TH about 2 I guess)...somewhere in there.

I want to say "THANK YOU!" to all of the members who attended this years Bluegill Bash! It was great to see everyone and I'm pretty sure all had a great time! The fly-swap was great fun. Thank you for your participation. We fished new water at Chinook State Fishing Area that was beautiful. Even though the fishing was a little slow, the scenery more than made up for it. I'll post pictures when I return from my next trip. Let's check our calendars for next year and try to plan this mid-May to correspond a little better (maybe) for the spawn. I'm thinking Sat. May 15th, 2010. I'll talk to Patti and see if that date is free. Well, I'm headed to Bloomington for Bass-Bugging in Lake Monroe this week. Hopefully, we can find a few monsters! ;D

Great time with great people. A new member Jerry Bales said he really had a good time and thanked me for inviting him to join the club. Not many fish caught just the fever to go back. Jerry did unforunately, lost his brand new rod tube. It was green with a reel cover for a four piece set. If you ran accross it PM me. Oh BTW I did catch a flying fish. When I set the hook it was so small I had to duck to keep from being hit. Total five bass and four bluegill.

Why is everyone saying not to many fish Jay and I hit a little honey hole and got so many gills our arms got tired. When we made it back to shore to talk about it (brag as it were) everybody was gone. OK! mabe the fish were a bit small ( fillets wouldn't have made a good fish Mc Nugget) but there was a #$%# load of them. Great time great people can't think of a better way to spend a Sat. looking forward to many more trips.
