Through Ray and Dustin Tabert, TFF has gained access to the tippecanoe river from Marlean J. property. This is an absolute essential point of access for us to be able to fish this river. Marleen has allowed us to put in and take out on her property as often as we like. This is an unusual kindness now days and something I would like to keep open for the club. Buuuuut She needs our help. Marleen has a tree that has fallen on the property and has blocked access to some work that she needs to do and can't find anyone to help her cut up the tree. I Volunteered TFF to do the Job. So, I need everyone that can or will, to lend a hand, a back, truck, chain saw.... To help Marleen out so we can maintain this point of access to the tippecanoe river. Please look at your callendars and let me know who has what dates open so that I can plan a day and time. I can't do this by myself and anyone who takes advantage of Marleens property needs to put forth the effort to be there. Give me a call and let me know Krebsie

I can help too. Count me in. I have an electric chain saw only (will pick up a new chain for it). We'd probably do better with gas powered unless we have access to electricity.

Haven't seen the tree yet but she said it was a pretty good sized one!

I would suggest at least a couple chainsaws. Mines a smaller one plus I have an electric like Don does. Available almost most Sundays.

TFF this is one job you will need to rally around. This access point is very private and allows the club on the river where some of the best fishing is. With out this access it would add at least 2 hours, if not more , float time to trips on the upper Tippy below the dam. Also I have known Marlean and her family from working in the Delphi area for some time. They are very nice people who live at this remote location because they value their privacy. It would be a great loss to the club if this relationship were to be dissolved. Now you may say "That's easy for you to say you living in Colorado" and that's true and I can't be there for the work. However there will always be a place in my heart for Indiana and especially for the Tippecanoe river. If I was able to be there I would place this task very high on my priority list. After all if the club doesn't perform for the community, well, then where just a bunch of guys and gals fishing. And when I joined I was looking for something more.

Forgot to mention I have a couple hundred feet of extension cord and can get a generator for that electric saw of troutking. Also does she need to get rid of the wood. I could use some firewood.

Haven't set a date yet, was waiting on responses. Marleen burns wood in her houses and garage pish. but I don't think she would mind at all if you were to ask for some of the wood. What do you guys think about maybe doing it of an evening during the week. Wouldn't be able to do it all in one setting but, that might be easier to get everyone there. I know my weekends are stuffed from here to snow fall.

That'd work for me Krebsie.
Anyone have a portable generator for electric chainsaws?

Wouldn't be able to make it to the river before 7:00 on the week days. Doesn't leave much time to work. Would rather make it a one day affair with the gas prices the way they are.

I have a gas saw. Would be glad to help. Pick the time and if I can, I'll be there. If not, some one can use the saw.
