Hello TFFers, Krebs, Don and I headed up north to hunt for steelhead in the tributaries today. We were on the water before sunrise and left as the sun was setting. I had an absolute blast with those two today. Man they are funny. Gary hooked a 16.5 inch steelhead early in the day. I love this picture of hiim. Don the trout king almost got skunked today but a couple of chubs helped him out. I managed to break another rod today but we stopped at bass pro and they gave me another one. Don't ask. When my one year warranty is up I'm going to buy a rod with a lifetime warranty at this rate. I finally caught a frigin steelhead. I caught several smolts and one 17 inch fish. That fish jumped clear out of the water like six times! It was so cool. Took a while to tire him out and I can only imagine what a big one would be like. You should have seen the three of us get out a Krebs house we were moaning and groaning about how sore we were from the day. Wading up there is rough on old dudes! We all fell several times today. Cant wait to fish with them again. Thanks for all the advice Jordan.

Great guys! HAHA as i am trying to examine that fish of Gary's from my computer screen im not sure its a steelie, im thinking a late Coho from the picture, although its hard to tell.... The caudal fin (tail) markings are pointing from steelie to coho for me, maybe next time Krebs!

OoooH go Coho yourself, you wouldn't know a steelie if one jumped up and bit your,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,finger! Ha Ha Ha Ha! You shore know how to rain on a guys parade! Not a steelie, Ouch! Well the only thing that I can say is that, Jordan, your just gona have to show me how to catch a real steelie! Oh and by the way Jordan, thanks a million for showing Dust and John your fishing holes, then suggesting them to us. It takes a good man to do that. It's an honor to have guys like you in this club!!!! Later Krebsie

Still, a Coho is nothing to sneeze at AND a 17" fish is ALWAYS worth catching!

Krebs in very early spring I actually put down the fly rod briefly to spin cast for Coho. Why because in my opinion they are the tastiest and one of the few fish I'll keep for the table.
