Went out for a couple hours today in Wea off 25. Water was higher than last time and water temp was 60F. Lots of leaves in the creek. Made it as far as the train bridge and caught a few smallmouth then they got spooked. I got a fly caught in the trees on the west side so I went over there to go get it. I could not believe how many big smallmouth were in that hole. I tried to sneak up on them from the piling but as soon as any fly hit the water all the big ones spooked. Just the little guys gave it any attention. It was a good lesson.
I noticed an owl watching me fish from one of the bridge pilings and managed to get a couple pictures with my phones camera.
Even caught a stone roller. Those things are weird looking.
