What are you guys planning on working on in July? I thought I heard foam based flies at open fishing day at fairfield.
I might be able to make it

I have a few ideas for foam flies. I was thinking my Japanese beetle, since those start appearing then, and maybe the "predator" and a popper or two. Foam flies worked well last year and already have taken several of my largest fish this year. They are easy to tie and can be very effective in the right situations.
The first Thursday in July is the 3rd, is this still o.k. with everyone??
Have a great month of fishing. I hope to see you on the water soon!

Since July and August, are excellant months for terresitals and foam is a good material for this type of pattern. I thought FOAM it is.
I have a few in mind. Steve Morris's "Predator" was one and possibly a popper also. Harrison Steves also has some fun patterens to tie.
Dustin, I have seen your Japanese beetle and it would be an excellent pattern to learn.
Is it true kindered minds think alike?
I appoligze that I didn't get this link started, but this is the first chance I have had to get on site since last Thursday.
As for the last tying night. Rich Moore was the only other member that was there. We did however, have two other people in the store sit down to a vise.
As far as July 3rd. I will be there.

I had a graet time tying flies last night with the club. Rick and Dustin had everything well planned and 8 or 9 members were there.
I know flies for next month were discussed, but since I won't be able to make it I didn't commit it to memory.
Thanks again for a great time.
