For this fly you will only need egg hooks (TMC 105 or 2457) orange/peach thread, some peach estaz and some peach egg yarn…. Youl take your egg hook and start right in front of the middle of the hook lay down a bas layer of thread, but don’t trim the tag of tying on! Leave it hanging out the back like a tail… Next tie in the estaz, (pretty much just peach cactus chenille) wrap it really tight forward but leave a gap of open shank before the eye. Next take some egg yarn and get it sparser than it comes and flat, youl tie it in over your existing wraps and try to turn it into a cylinder around your fly…. Now take what is sticking out in front of your fly and sweep it back and put some wraps over the base of it to ensure it stays back, trim so it isn’t quite covering the entire fly and whip off! This is my #1 egg pattern not as easy to tie as the10 sec. egg but this shouldn’t take you all day! Many variants can be made though, I often tie the same thing but with chrartruse estaz and bright orange egg yarn… GO CATCH CHROME!
