You just can't imagine how good the fishing is in this park, but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. We started out the morning with a fly swap... Sorry, no photos of our top secret flies. You'll have to come next year to get in on that. HE he he he he.... Breakfast at Denny's was enjoyable and then we went to the park and geared up. Chuck and Patti are all smiles. Gary Krebs concentrates on his fly selection. Angler Donny Shidler gears up. And then, we took to the lake for a few bluegill. My nephew, Drent Barnard shows off his first gill. Holy cow! He's got two at the same time! Dad gets into the action with a small fish. Yes, even I managed to catch one. Then we went to another pond and WOW! Cecil Krebs with a huge redear sunfish! Dad with a monster! I hooked a whopper! And Gary Krebs was king of the Trip with a whole stringer of Fat Gills! Check this out!!! He is the king of Tarpon, Snook and Gills! Thanks Gary for your picture! This is proof that there are some fabulous bluegill holes near Terre Haute, IN. All who didn't come, you really missed out, but then again, there's always next year... Now, Get out there and Fish!

Wow, how much fun can it be to catch 9" gills on a 2wt rod and with a fly you tied yourself? What a day 15 gills from 8 1/2" to 9 3/4" My dad caught a 10"er. How special it was to have him there with me. We had some really great flyfellowship with the folks from Reel Women/Men. It's always exciting to sit and chat with folks who are excited about the same things you are. I would encourage all who didn't go or couldn't go to do what you can to take part in these club events. Some of the credit has to go to Mr. Dustin Tabert. It takes a real friend to invite you to a place, then tell you where the big ones are, then let you catch them!! Thanks Dustin. Oh yea the best wine for these gills is from those who didn't go. Ha ha ha ha No one has asked the big question yet. What fly?
