So Dave and I ventured to a local farm pond Sunday morning. The fishing started out slow, but as the temperature rose, the fish started biting. The picture below was caught on my spinning rig because there was no room to cast with a fly rod. I was using a 4 inch black rubber worm with a chartreuse tail. I decided then to move and see what else I could find. A monster sunfish hit the same rubber worm. I got another on a different lure, then my reel went bad. I went back to the truck to grab Dave and my fly rod. We proceeded to land large sunfish for an hour. We bag a total of 14 fish.
