Krebsie asked me to post pics from our trip in August 09 to Westover Farms in Steelville, Missouri. We had great fun. Of course, keeping up with Krebsie is a bit of a challenge! But I did my best! And the fish kept biting on Kreb's Christmas Bugger. Or something else Krebsie tied up for me - that multicolored flashabo fly. Must have caught 20 between us. It was a blast! Westover Farms is a trout hatchery and has a fair amount of water to fish right on the property. Cost to fish is $54 per day (sun up until you can't see anymore). No license is needed and there is about 2 miles of stream outside the farm that is fishable downstream, though I haven't been down that far, yet!

OK now that I have cleaned the drool off my shirt when is this years trip planned for? Also Don it appears that Gary didn't show you how to hold the fish out in front of you to make it look bigger the way he did.(the bigger hands always gives it away Kerbs) ;D

When is the best time to go fishing there? While the water is still cold? Any trout wisdom here?

Trout wisdom...not sure I have that. I have gone down there in August, September, and January and have never been disappointed. I like the long hours of summer though and because it is only 6 hours away, it makes for a nice weekend. My buddy, Greg, from Illinois introduced me to the place a number of years ago. He and I stayed on the property itself and the cabins were very plush but pricey although the cost of the fishing is less too. I'll post some pics of that trip soon.

A King doesn't need wisdom (he has a court for that) I would like to know what the deal is if you stay at the cabins as well. Also glad you have been able to maintain at least one friend over the years. ;D
