Hey Folks - March 6th my wife is having a gilrs day and evening with her freinds. That means Leif and I have the house to ourselves.
If anyone want to come over and tye flies are welcome. I will have some chili simmering in the crock pot. Trent defines it as goloush I call it chili.
If you are interested bring your beverage of choice and your tying stuff. I am open all day. But let's say anytime after 10am is fine with me. Stay as long as you would like.
I will work on getting some directions to my place posted here soon. I live in Pyrmont, which is out east of East Tip Middle School.
Post here if you are interested so I know how much chili to make.

JC - I will supply the Chilli. Anything that you would like to bring is fine with me. I haven't tied much all winter. So, I am sort of getting the itch.

I swear I have something planned that day, but can't remember what it is for the life of me. I'll most likely be there.

If you would like an adventure you can try to map quest my address. Good luck on getting here. I am not sure how gps will do. Address 5481 S 862 W Delphi, IN
Directions –
From West Lafayette – get yourself north bound on St Rd 25. Go under I-65 and at the top of the hill there is a light and a Family Express gas station. Turn right (east) this will be Co. Rd. 300. You will stay on this road for a while 5-10 miles. It will come to a T with Co. Rd. 900. Turn left (North) on 900 and then take the next right, about 50 yards from the T. This road will wind around for about 2 miles or so and bring you to a stop sign at the Carroll / Tippacanoe county line. Go straight for 4/10 of a mile and our lane(862 W) will be on the left (north) side of the road. Follow the lane back and we are the first house around the corner. If you find yourself driving by a cemetery you have went to far.
From the East Side – take St Rd 26 East out of town. About 10-15 miles east of i-65 you will see a sign point left (north) that says Pyrmont. You will want to turn on that road which I think is 900. However, this is not the same Co Rd 900 mentioned in the other directions. The road number will change to 800 when you go from Clinton to Carroll county. You will stay on this road till you get to a 4-way stop. The 4-way stop is downtown Pyrmont it is bout 4-5 miles from St Rd 26. Turn left at the 4-way and go 4/10 of a mile to our lane on the right (north). If you find yourself at another stop sign you have reach the Carroll/Tippacanoe county line. Go back 4/10 to our lane
Phone 765-589-8341
Feel free to enter through the garage.
I will make sure the garage fridge has room for any barley pop you all might bring.
So far chilli for 4 plus myself

Less this is a most generous offer, if the boss has no plans I will do my best to attend. You will not need to plan on chili for me as it is not part of my present diet (neither is the barley soda damnbit) If there are materials I can share just ask.

A few folks have asked me what we are tying.
I hadn't really thought about it. If some one wants to sit and tie trout flies all day while Gary ties poppers, that is fine with me. I just haven;t tied in a while and figured this would be fun. So, bring what ever you want to tie. It will be an open tying day.
If you want to teach others a fly during this time that is fine as well, just bring the material along.
If any wants to learn how to tye I am sure there will be some folks there willing to teach. I am not sure where the materials box is at. Can it be brought just in case we have someone that needs stuff.

Hi JC - Sure you can come pick me up if you are in town on the 6th but I know that I have promised my wife I'd leave sometime around 2:00. If you are going to tie longer than that, I'll have to meet you at Les' around 10:00. (Thanks for the directions, Les - )

Hey all, I hope you are all keeping an eye on the weather for March 6th...50 degrees! My suggestion would be to ties up some flies and then get out on the Wildcat to try them out.
