I am going to start the ground work for updating the TFF web site. Pleae keep in mind I am talking about the web site and NOT these message boards.
If you have any ideas lett me know. I am not going to say that every idea will be used, but I will look at them all.

Hey Les. I liked the slide show you put together for the Indy show. Could we do that on the home page? Could we link fly pattern pictures to tying tutorials in the forums?

JC sure we can. I had something like that in mind. Give me a week or so and I will try to have a mock up for folks to look at.

Globalizing the links in the nav bar would be awesome.

Globalizing? Can I get more explanation? Streamlining the navigational structure of the top bar. All the important links are on the nav bar and no matter where a visitor browses to, they can look right at the nav bar and go to any page. Pretty much just like it is now, but it's missing a huge part of the site, the forums, calendar, and gallery. The structure is pretty good now, but a few tweaks and it will really shine. Maybe under the www.tippecanoeflyfishers.org/membership.html link put the info that is contained in the www.tippecanoeflyfishers.org/join.html link. Move the forums, gallery, and calendar links to the nav bar itself.

I would like to see a message board link on the home page. Would someone who has never been to our site know we had a forum if they didn't dig around a little?

I'm with Krebs (I still can't figure out how to post a *^%& picture) So a "here's how the boards work for dummies" section would be greatly appreciated. In plain "computer stupid" talk if possible.

Les, I like the idea of a good navigation bar on the home page, too. It would be good to have a direct link to the message board from the homepage and a link associated with the fly pattern on the homepage that takes you to a fly tying section on the homepage (or message board). Those are my two cents. Thanks for all the hard work you put into maintaining the site. Don

My take is to DEFINITELY put a direct link to the message boards, but call it "Forums" because that's the operative word at the moment, so it will get the most attention. Also, I usually like the Forums button to stand out from the rest of the navigation bar or column of links. That should be instrumental in getting new blood into the forums. Another random thought: the current message board link goes to "leseller.proboards.com" Every time i click that link i see "leSELLER.proboards.com" and i keep thinking its an advertising link. I hesitate every time i see it in the status bar in the bottom of the browser window. I would feel more comfortable with something like tff.proboards.com or something along those lines ;D Also, maybe change the top TFF picture/logo to the colored one from the stickers and shirts. That and spice up the home page with pictures of members with fish, or just more big fish pictures in general
