Greetings TFF Men and Women, Our October meeting is just around the corner and we need to start cleaning out that closet and search for new or nearly new fishing stuff you don't want or use anymore. Make a BIG pile of that stuff and bring it to our Auction on Thursday, October 15th. All proceeds will go directly to the club to help pay for club events, programs, speakers, stream projects and the like. All donations are tax deductable! Plus, as you get rid of your unwanted junk, you will then have the opportunity to purchase other gadgets and fly-fishing goods and apparel donated by other members and hopefully, donations from fly-fishing companies directly. Get the word out. This Auction is open to members and non-members alike! As always, I will be tying a few of my favorite flies to sell and they go quickly! Don't miss out on these flies that are GUARANTEED TO CATCH FISH. no money back guarantee.
I hope to see you all there!

What time does this start at MCL? Could we put that on the calendar?

This is our regular meeting and is on the calendar. Has been for quite a while. The calender says Club Meeting at MCL. Click on it and it tells what the meeting will be.

rstraight,
No time is given. This is what it says when you click on the day.
"This is the annual club auction.
Check your closets and bring anything fishing related that your spouse won't let you keep. "

I've gotten a few emails from Krebsie's reminding about this event. That is Sophia's b-day, so it isn't looking too good at this point for me to be able to attend, but we'll see. I will fish around (pun intended) for anything I have that someone might bid on (I'm not optimistic ). I could definitely tie up some flies though, but again, that implies people would want the finished product. Has the board given any thought to going through the member list and giving each member a personal phone call? Given that this is THE big fundraiser for the year, I think people would think that was reasonable. Just a thought.

Unfortunately I canNOT attend this one! Poopee! Just too many irons in the fire. I will make a cash donation to the club in lieu of my absence.
Everyone go and buy up lots of stuff!

Radio:
just give me the cash. Net result is that the club gets the money. It will also help drive up some of the bids since there will be more cash in the bidding pool. It's a win-win for the club (and me!).

So, do we have a tally of what was raised last night?
I had to get daughter numero uno home before it was all done.

I can only guess. The guided steelhead and carp trips went for $400 each. All the rods went for around $100 except for the one Monica bought. I think the other guided trips went for $300 each as well. So I would figure the club made around $2000 or maybe more.
