Since a few people mentioned they liked the Dave Barry article, it got me to thinking that people may be unfamiliar with Pat McManus. Pat introduced him to me a few years ago and the man is brilliant (McManus, anyway )! If you haven't read anything by him, you need to check him out.

I will agree with you on this one Trent. I read several of his books about the time I was finishing up high school and starting college. They are quite funny.

McManus is definitely a worthwhile read. He's hilariously "every man" when it comes to fishing and hunting.
Trent - I picked up on that "McManus anyway" jibe. Just remember your poor attitude when I leave my guns/rods to my ex-next door neighbor (Carl)!
Pat P.S. When it comes to outdoor humor, I'd also heartily recommend Corey Ford. His Outdoor Sporting Treasury is classic in the genre and well worth purchasing.

I've got a side deal worked out with Carl, so I'm not overly concerned.
Corey Ford is a good one as well, but definitely a different mood/era about him than McManus.
