Well, the water is finally down, and Sugar creek is fishable again. Went to my secret place, and caught a few smallies. 8 total in about 2 hours. Fishing was pretty decent. I used 4 different flies and caught 2 fish on each fly. I didn't really plan that, but after two, I know that the fly works, so I switched. I used, the dub-ciever, a crawdad imitation, a popper, and the reelfoot special. Caught my biggest bass a 12 incher on a popper just as I was about to turn back for the car around 8 o.clock pm. All the other fish were in the 8 to 10 inch range. Fun, but no monsters. Heading back to the car, I saw some huge bass in a few of the holes, I had fished in before. Apparently, they didn't like what I was using at the time. But, I noticed two bass were puking up crawdads as I brought them to hand. It is crawdad season...
Good Luck out there! See you on the water.
