I just happened to be looking on the calendar and I wanted to remind everyone that our June meeting (MCL's, meal at 6:30, meeting at 7) is coming up on the 18th.
Chad Miller, a well-known guide, fly-shop owner (WildCat Creek Flyshop in Zionsville) and world-traveler will be the speaker for the evening. Should be a great evening!

I came to MCL -WL last Thursday night at about 6:50, and couldn't find the group. I am very sorry to have missed what would have been my first meeting, and the program sounded intersting.

Man - that stinks!!!
We were tucked away in one of the conference/meeting areas. I think the sign on the room actually said something different because we were not originally scheduled in there.
Next time, poke your head in those rooms and if it looks to be filled with a bunch of misfits and ne'er-do-wells, you are probably in the right place.
P.S. Did you end up spending that week on the Au Sable the first of June? How'd you do?

Wayne - There are two meetings rooms off the dining room. We meet in one or the other. Sorry that you couldn't find the meeting.

Wayne;
You might want to join us for our fly tying on the first Thursday of each month (6, p.m., 2 July is the next one). We meet at St. Andrew UMC (4703 N. 50 W.). Come in the front doors (double doors to the left are unlocked), take the hallway to the right to the back of the church and you'll find us there.
The fly tying is a pretty laid back event with Rick or Dustin or Krebsie or SOMEONE showing us how to tie a new pattern or two. We're usually there for a couple of hours or so. Come on out and visit; we usually have the coffee pots on.

Yes, I did spend the first week in June on the Au Sable and had really good luck. Took a float rrip on Monday and Thursday, got 25 and 20 trout respectively, mostly browns, biggest about 13 inches. Also waded at Cumins Flats(about 4 miles east of Mio, got a few around 10 inches. Had one very interesting experience which I will describe when we are together. Also fished the south Branch, not much luck there.
I do plan to join the fly tying session in a couple of weeks, and look forward to it.

25 and 20 fish days sound pretty good to me!
Was there a hatch on?
Sometime, ask me about our experience with a guy that runs the Mio Motel - quite the character.

Oh SURE! Krebsie jumps all over a nwhat with both feet but Wayne 52 gets away with a float rrip. I guess we can over look errors with 20 to 25 fish a day. his arms a probably tired. (mine would be)
