Did some serious bumming around the past couple weeks, finished up with finals and shot up into MI! Did some great stretches I have never seen before and a few classics I know well. It seemed all or nothing on most stretches which is the way throwing 6” flies goes, although the fishing began to be more steady towards the middle of this week with the amount of bugs around and our ability to bring fish to the surface. Here are some shots in somewhat chronological order… Surprises are fun! First decent fish for me, the higher water I thought helped the big uglies The “dub-ciever” in action, I think I may be posting a recipe after further R&D. Saw several of these monsters flying around, if only for a time able prolific hatch! DOESN’T GET MUCH BETTER! Guide buddy Kyle taking advantage of some high water holding patterns Adam with a particularly nice fish on a dry sulphur compara-dun Nice mid-day fish and my first from a long long float It seemed as if we were swinging for the fences with some portions of what we floated. But I was rewarded with this fish, now my biggest stream fish for MI, missing the two foot mark by a mere ¼ inch but she lives to be caught again and certainly breaking it for someone. Finished it up with some great bug action several species on the water, I could imagine its going great right about now Ill be back soon…

Jordan;
Thanks for the report! I've been trying to live vicariously through the board but either the water has just been too blown out or no one other than you is fishing! Can't wait to get back out myself - hopefully in another week or two.
It looks like your summer is off to a flying start! Enjoy!

Got to love the fat tire! Would anyone be interested in putting a trip together to get up north?

Very Nice Pictures !!! I would be willing to go up north around mid-June or so. I'm fishing Terre Haute then Bloomington next week, and then heading to Orlando Florida on The 20th until June 27th. Maybe in-between there would be good?
Thanks for your post! That dub-ciever fly is amazing for largemouth bass. I've caught them everywhere I have fished that fly! It IS my new favorite fly. Glad to see it works for browns too.
