Just taking a moment to say hello to my friends on this forum. I haven't written on here in awhile because I had a quadruple by-pass on 1 May and am just now getting the green light/beginning to feel good enough to spend a few moments on-line.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I am feeling better each day and am really doing very well. It'll be a few weeks before I'm back on a "crick" but I can't wait. Take care!
Pat P.S. Also, I'd like to encourage all of us who are over 50, male, over-weight, or have specific indicators like high blood pressure, high cholesterol or family history to go see your doctors and get a physical set up - soon. I had no sypmptoms at all, in fact, I did 45 minutes on the treadmill the day of my first tests (like I did 5 days a week before the surgery) with no problems at all. DON'T wait for symptoms. My surgeon told me that in a month or up to a year, Cathy would have just found me dead from a "silent" heart attack. As it is, with testing, they caught it before I had a heart attack and before there was any damage at all done to my heart. You are too important to your family and your friends (like us) to take a chance with your health. Hearts will heal; dead won't.

Pat,
Glad to hear you are doing OK. I know what you and your family went through. My dad as had a quad bypass and numerous stints along with "silent" heart attacks.
It will be good to see you back with a rod in your hand.

Pat I am so thankful that you are doing good! You are a big part of this club and we are very blessed to have you as a member. If there is anything you need that we can help with please let us know! Hows your wife holding up? Hope she's ok. Again if there's anything we can do to help let us know. Krebsie

Krebsie/all; I really am coming along nicely. Not much energy, but getting stronger every day. Other than having to put up with me every day, Cathy (my wife) is doing very well. She has been a rock and is a big part of my recovery to this point. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone soon and I'll "holler" if I need some help. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and your encouragement - you have no idea how much that helps. Pat
