I know we have folks currently involved with Boy Scouts and the merit badge outing, etc.
Has anybody ever looked into checking with the local girl scouts to see if they might be interested in a day of learning about fly fishing? I was also thinking about other groups, like after school programs, that might be interested. I know there is an after school program at LUM and they would probably think that was pretty darn cool.

Trent,
I have tried to reach the girl scouts but was unsuccessful. Actually scouting in general has been difficult. I guess it helps if you know some leaders or someone in the organization. I would like to volunteer some time and be more involved with scouts. I did one presentation for a boy scout troop in Carmel and really enjoyed it. Hopefully there will be more in the future. Kids are fly fishermen and fisherwomen of the future and stewarts of the land. Lets guide them in the right path. TH~

Tress, We happen to have two boy scout leaders in the club and some of the members helped the scouts get their merit badges. We had around twenty or so plus a few parents. Radio Flyer and Les are the ones to talk to.

Huntress:
I work with a woman who is very involved with Girl Scouts. She is going to track down some contact info for the right person for you to get in touch with in Indy area.
