Im home this weekend and the 24" of snow they got last week is now in the rivers with another 4 or so inches of rain (they arent fishable) So a friend and i thought we would try to get some really really early carp, talk about urban fishing! I hooked up one carp and lost it but got a couple of smalleis that to me were on my larger side (i havent caught too many/ too many big ones) It was a nice surprise and i was just happy to get out in fish, although the lake was turbid cold and windy!!!

Jordan;
Way to go! Definitely no fishing to be had around here. Maybe in ponds, but the streams are definitely blown out!
Thanks for posting the pic's. It was a pleasant break.

Nice fish and great job Oh king of the long stick! I'm jealous! You sure know how to shake up a bunch of snow bound Mid westerners. Oh to be 21 again!! What fly were you using and how were you fishing it? We need more info for the dream fishing we're doing right now. Keep up the good work, some of us have to fish by-proxy for now. Post more pics!! Oh i was tossing among many other things a dark brown rabbit claw dad, similar to most other crayfish patterns with zonker strips for claws, tied with dumbell eyes and fished on a type IV sink tip.
