I love fishing LM and was lucky enough to sit in on a tying session at the Expo, where a pro was tying a foam mouse. I've tied deer hair mice but this was super cool! I remembered the thing and tied a half dozen last night and even my wife commented on how neat they were (and cute). Can't wait to try them at the lake this summer. I'll post a pix or two this evening!

Radio,
I sat down and watched him twice! I liked his reason for coming up with the idea of foam. He was tired of spending an hour tying a deer hair mouse and getting it caught in a tree after fishing only 10 minutes.
I went to Sportsman's to get the materials to try one but they didn't have the hooks or the large Ice Chenille.
So I improvised and still managed to try one also.

radio - some digital cameras have a mountain/flower setting on them. The flower equals a macro setting for taking pictures when the camera is less then three feet from the subject. Normally i still have to play with the zoom a bit or physically move the camera closer or futher away. Hope this helps

Les, I've got a nice Canon 'Idiot Point SHoot' model. I'll bring it to the next meeting and perhaps you can figure that out for me. Thanks!

That looks just like Skip Morris' "Predator" with a tail and some whiskers. Although, I'm having trouble seeing it clearly... Maybe you would be willing to teach us how to tie it at a session in the future?
BTW Radio, Your avatar pic is Fantastic!

Teach,
I wasn't familiar with the Predator but after looking it up, yes, it is similar tho larger with other features. I'll bring some to the meeting to pass around. It's far from perfected but it's fishable and that's all I need for the moment. Just wish I could figure this @#%&* camera out!
