I have been teaching my self how to spin deer hair the past few weeks and have made several divers. I have had the chance to try them twice, and I have had good luck both times. I have only caught small bluegill and a tiny bass, but it was still fun. My first divers used a zonker tail, but now I am using marabou and flash. I have made them on sizes 2-8 and casting them on a six weight, so I am kind of limited. I was wondering how you guys liked to dress your divers and on what size? I have acces to a decent stream and several good small ponds, so whats the biggest size I can throw on a six weight? Thanks

I've cast up to size 2's on my five weight... Barely I tie "bass" bugs in 2's and 6's on the tmc bass bug hook- I can't remember the number off-hand.

I just happened to get a crappy video today of Krebs fishing a 3/4" popper on an 8 weight rod. This would be a very aggressive retrieve. Normally we would twitch, twitch and let it sit then repeat.

I've used numerous different colors. Natural, white, yellow, green, blue, red, etc. anything.

I had a chance to fish them on the Wisconsin river the past two days. I had to fish from th bank, but I still had two hits, I just missed them. I have been making my tails out of marabue and flash, how do you usually dress yours? Thanks for the feed back
