I have be fishing in Putnam Co. a lot mainly for the big Muskies that have been found in Big Walnut Creek. Which is all but dried up except for the big holes on the bends. Today on a lark I went to Brookville. The water temps are not to be believed. About 2 foot deep of the clearest water I've seen there and the water temperature on the bottom was 56 Degree while 2 miles of the tailwaters are down by 50% in width. The trout are taking midges and tricos . Find a big hole and you will find big trout! And about everything else. Plus a big Bass is nice too! It was 100 degrees on land at 2pm.in the Sun. A warning though the trout are very near their maximum temps . Release them fast and before the are spent. We all need rain!
