OK so the Brookville trip has been moved. Everybody that plans to go fish at the Tailwaters needs to keep an eye on the USGS Real-Time Water Dada for USGS 03276000 East Fork Whiteriver at Brookville IN. And my advise is don't wade at Brookville unless you have 2 to 4.5 feet of water levels. Levels today are about 3.7 feet; less then 2 feet stress the Trout as much 70 degree fishing. Don't even think about wading above 4.5 feet. Water Temps today are 39 degrees as you know the Hatches will start about 53 degrees for the best fishing. We should be right on target for getting there after the fresh stocking. Over 6,000 Trout were caught and most released on the 2 miles of tailwater last year. Bring your Midges, and Pheasant tail Nymphs and some Scuds. If I'm right we will be hitting at least 4 kinds of Hatches.

It will be a three hour drive because there isn't a good way to get there from Lafayette. But if the water is to high to wade we do have another option. We won't be that far from Whitewater Memorial State Park. If need be we can go there and rent canoes, the panfish have been good in the past.
We can also get to the headwaters of Brookville Lake. This is a big mud flat and as I remember, lots of carp. But only if the trout are blown out.
