Well with it being such a nice day I decided to fish the retention ponds with my tenakara rod. Even though it was windy in the open I was able to find a few spots I could cast and fish. Instead of using a regular fly I tied on a 3mm wolfram jig with a little atom duppie and nuggie. With the weight of the jig I had to make lob cast. All in all it was a slow day but productive. I had problems detecting the ever so light bites of the gills and crappies. I did feel a couple of agrresive bites at first but could not hook up. Also seen flash of fish hitting and missing. Ended the day landing about 10 crappies and 5 gills. here are a couple of the larger crappies landed.
