Hey Flyfishers, I am leading another steelhead trip to Northern Indiana. This time to Navaho Trail in Burns Harbor, IN. I can forward a map to you if you would like to see the location. I would like to have interested members respond back to this message on the forum.
We can assemble at my house at 7 am and head up there. I can take 3 (maybe 4) in my CRV. If you need directions to my house, get in touch with me by sending me a private message on the forums.
Hope to hear from you!

I might be up for that. Where's Navaho (Navajo? SP) Trail? Once again, I won't be meeting at your house. I'll meet you there.

Thanks to all who have responded to this thread. Looks like Fatliner will meet me up there - and this really depends on the weather. Last I heard there should be about 9 inches of lake effect snow up there. Yahooo! I will be leaving my house at 9:00 am rather than 7:00. Figure the fish may need some time to warm up (me too). If the weather is really bad, this trip might get postponed for a bit but I am bound and determined to catch myself a steelie this year and getting one in the snow is pure adreneline.

I really hope you all catch your steelhead! Don't want to come off as a fair weather fisherman, but I guess I prefer it fairer than this. I am curious, do you guys ever use bead rigs? Stay warm and Good Luck!

Checked the weather tonight and it really doesn't look good for tomorrow. Temps around 19 degrees with 16 mph winds, which put the wind chill factor about 4 degrees. I am crazy for fishing but not this crazy. So, unfortunately, I am going to put this trip on hold and postpone it to another time when the weather is a bit more reasonable. Hope you all understand.

Sorry you missed your day of steelheading. I think it was a wise decision though. Matthew had Solo and Ensemble contest today at Twin Lakes and I thought I was going to get frostbite on my face just walking back to the car into the wind. Wind chill may be too mild of a name for that phenomenon!
