Other New Business- Action items
1. Property fund vs. General special projects fund- Property fund tabled for now. We need to find out legalities of naming a special fund before endowing. Too much definition locks the money into a limited area of scope on use of the funds. Should we set a minimum allowable funding level to ensure proper levels of spendable cash?- under advisement
2. Membership! Spread the word about the club. As incentive in 2013 I will guide the board member who refers the most new members for a full day on the local water of their choice with gear, flies and lunch provided. Get people involved by offering a range of activities. Let’s get this club active again! Mailed out 90 invoices on 1/11/2012. Current paid member count is 20. Four from IOTF, 2 cash at show and 2 PayPal the next day. 12 from the mailer.
3. Fund Raising. How can we raise money for the club? Money is out there for conservation projects from Patagonia and the Indiana Heritage Trust. Raffles? Project goals? Grants?
4. Volunteers Needed!
Volunteers needed- Fishing trips every month of the year. My unpredictable schedule will require others to take the lead for trips on the calendar. April school for 20 days. After this meeting my attention will be on studying. I challenge every board member to organize or lead a project, class, conservation project or fishing trip.
