Boy did we have a blast...and boy did we sweat! Yup, was brutely hot but brutely fun! Lots of fish caught, lots of people fly fishing for the first time and lots of memories made. That's what it's all about.
Firstly, thanks to Tom Moran and the land owner for letting us use this awesome lake. What a beautiful resourse!
Thanks also to Dave Hosler and John Clanton for setting up. Thanks Jerry Bales for prepping all the great food! Delish! And thanks to everyone who came out and took part...either learning, teaching or fishing. It was a great exhausting day and hope to do it again!
You brand new fly fishers, keep it up! Get back out their and catch fish with the long rod. All you seasoned pros...ditto! See you on the water soon!

Sure wish I could have made it out there for the fun and good times. I did not get off work till 5 AM and already committed to taking the wife to the State Fair Grounds for the Horse Show and 1500 Gun Show. Also ended up attending the Mid-West Thunder of the Bullies show which I did not know about. The farm my wife takes riding classes at had students showing in the walk, trot, and canter classes. Then after a couple class shows we went to see the bullies. There were some great looking bullies and expensive pups. We finally ended up at the gun show. Look at a lot of nifty toys I would love to have. Almost bought a 380 for 160 but only ended up getting 3 pairs of sunglasses.

What a fantastic turn out today despite the heat. It was so nice to see so many new faces and I hope we inspired people to pick up the sport. I enjoyed watching Dan T catch his first fish on a fly rod he bought at our auction last year. It was fun paddling Jerry around and watching him fish after his hard work cooking lunch. Krebs I always enjoy sharing the boat with you.
I would also like to thank the land owner, Tom, Jerry, Dave and Gary N for all your work in putting this together. I already have ideas for next year!

Hot Hot Hot!! Really needed a day to escape and thanks to my friends at TFF, I managed to do just that for a while. John paddled me around all morning and made me fish, wouldn't even let me paddle. What a friend! Jerry cooked us up one heck of a lunch and Gary Newlons teaching abilities were, as always, quite impressive. I know that there are a lot of others that pitched in and did a lot to help, but that's what this club is all about. Don't think I've ever been to a club function and not had a really great time, cept board meetings. LOL Big thanks to everyone who pitched in and made this possible, and to all the board members of TFF!

The pic of Krebsies bass and him out of focus is great. Good times yesterday, just wish that weather hadn't been so brutal

Wow what a crowd. I came early and had to go around nine. Looked really good to see all the new faces. Didn't get into any bass, Krebs never text me about using white poppers, but did get a few sunnies. Thanks to all that worked hard to make the day a success. Keep up the great work.

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you who did the hard work to make the Casting Clinic such a fun day. My wife, Shari, is the one above with her first fish on a fly rod. We used to fish a lot together, then we had kids. My oldest, Matthew, enjoyed the day once he got the hang of it. He was getting pretty good catching some bluegills when he found the edge of the weedbeds. Maybe now he is ready for some big ones from Kreb's pond.
