Was at the Boat and Travel show last Saturday with my wife, sister and bro. in law. Went by the Fly Masters booth and got to meet Flip Pallet! Wow, that was really awesome. Had the chance to demo. my jig sets for him and he loved the idea!! Oh yea! Sent him home with an autographed set, told him that was kind of backwards but really cool! Anyhow, ran across a guy I used to work with at Landis and Gyr. He now has an invention he's marketing called the squid anchor. It is a really awesome product and thought I would share it with the club. Go to www.thesquidanchor.com and check it out. He ended up giving me one so if anyone would like to see it, or see how it works, before you get one let me know!

I looked at the website, what a cool idea. Could you bring it with you to the next board meeting.

Man i don't know how well it will hold up. I have done something similar to this on my own before and while it worked it also beat the bag up alot and that was only using it for 5 days. I would like to see it, but I am skeptical on how it will preform over time.
Plus is sounds easy. Just find loose sand or gravel and use that. While in some case i could see where this would be no problem, but I see other cases where disturbing the bank to get weight for you anchor could cause bank erosion issues.
Just a thought
