Where did August Go??? With Fly-Tying next week, I was curious as to what we may be tying. Rick, you mentioned Hair Wings last month. That sounds great to me if you are available. I hope everyone is doing well! See you on Thursday. Regards, Dustin

Hair Wings are what is planned. I am going to go through the materials and patterns this week just to be safe.
If anyone has foam poppers from last month bring em and show em off.

Despite the low turnout, it was a great learning experience for us!
Thanks Rick for the great instructions on Thursday! The flies we tied were great! It was neat to tie flies that I have never tied before. I'm anxious to try these flies this fall for steelhead and salmon.
Welcome to the newcomer Jordan. It was great to get to know you! Hope to fish with you soon!
Regards, Dustin

Sorry for the late reply but I just got back from Florida. The silver trout and mackeral were killing Chad Miller's Wildcat Streamer tied in pink and white. A white False Albacore also did well.
In regards to the tying. I wish we could have done more of these flies. Hairwings are just plain fun to tie.
We will be doing wet flies in October.

I'm with Teach. I love learning to tie flies I've never tied before. In all, I usually learn how simple some of these flies are when I'd be intimidated by them in the past. Thanks everyone for your teaching prowess. Love it!
See everyone in October!
