Saturday evening Dave McCullough and I decided to go try our luck at Gary's pond and help a fellow member control his fish population. With out looking at what the weather may bring we set a time.
When Dave came buy to pick me up we both noticed that is was a little windy at my place and we both decided on pack our ultra lite gear along with our fly rods.
By the time we got to Gary's the wind had picked up and the tempature went down. The bluegill were hitting the top when we got there, but after we caught a few they started going deeper.
After a few hours of fishing Gary was kind enought to make coffee for two cold wind blown fishermen. We also got the tour of his fly tying desk, which is awsome.
We took our fish pack to my place to clean and realized that I had already started to winterize the house and the hoses had been put up. So we decided to clean fish in the kitchen. The wife was real pleased about that:) But we picked pizza up for her on our way throw town so she wasn't too upset.
While the fishing was the best we could ask for, it was still enjoyable to get out and fish. Plus Dave went home with enough fish for a meal for him and his wife.

It's really great to get together with you guys. I enjoy visiting and getting to know people who I see quite a bit but rarely get to talk in depth. Hope you will come back when the weather is a little better and the fish are biting. So in the words of Mr Tabert "Get out there and fish" and make sure you take a club member with you! It's what fishing is really about! Krebsie
