The Creek Co. is having a sale on pontoons and I was just wondering if anyone has any first hand knowledge of their products? If you have had a negative experience with this company, please PM me - let's not air "dirty linen." Thanks!
Pat

"My father and I have had a pair of their pontoons for something like 5 or so years, we dont use them too much anymore, but as far as im concerned they make the nicest ones... They have the most solid construction i have seen of any of the pontoons, we drag em down gravel roads over log jams whaterver never have had a problem...
For the money they make the best one....from all ive seen"

Trent,
I have a Creek Company. It's an ODC Sport. The seat dosen't swivel but you can purchase a boat seat and swivel base at Wal-Mart and retro fit if you want. I tried that but you will need to purchase a taller base than the standard one I purchased.
Mine didn't come with anchor setup so I added that. Creek Co. sells a combo motor and anchor mount. Worth the money.
The thing is great to use. It manuvers easy and is rated for CLASS 2 RAPIDS. So floating down the Wildcat or Tippey would be no problem.
The only problem was putting it together at the place I was fishing. I had a million questions and it took time out of my fishing!
I started putting it together at home a tying it down on the bed cover of my truck. But last summer going to Knop lake the darn thing came undone and blew off. Now I need to buy new oars and oar locks.

Other than I'd love to own one...no. I would definitely get a rod holder or two. I have two for flyrods on my bassboat.

I don't see any problems. Some will say you need a 1200 denier cover on the pontoons but mine has the 840 denier cover and I haven't any problems.
It looks good for the price.

The STEEL part is the only thing i see wrong, if i could suggest only one thing it would be to get an aluminum one...
weight...
corrosion resistance....
