I know I'm new to this, but I am willing to build anyone a new rod for the ultimate low price $25. All you have to do is supply the rod blank, and all needed accessories. I have all of this brand new equipment, but I don't have enough money to buy my next rod yet. So I need your help. Contribute to Teach's new rod fund. I'm trying to save up and buy some supplies for my next rod. Please let me know if you or anyone you know are interested in having a hand crafted rod by a neophyte rod maker, who was trained by our very own Radio and Rick S. Quality and Satisfaction Guaranteed or your money back. The total assembly time will take about 1 week. Although this is subject to change depending on the amount of details you wish to have added to the rod. Questions, contact me at this site or send me a PM. First come first serve, unless offering more $$$. Have a good day.

Well, now that I just cut my teeth on a somewhat cheap blank, I am thinking about a Winston Boron IIx, Gloomis GLX, or Sage Z-axis. That is if I get a super deal on anyone of those. I was looking also at the Rainshadow blanks from Hook and Hackle. They claim they are the best in the USA, but I've never used one personally. They are half the cost of the big name brands. Does anyone have any experience with Rainshadow fly rod blanks?

Phishinincident: Hook and hackle have some great deals on Switch and spey rod kits right now: Rainshadow 12'6" 6 weight for $130. Includes everything! Good deal! Sorry, I don't know much about Rainshadow though.

I have built several Rainshadows in the RX7 and the RX8...Actually i just ordered a spey blank today from www.utmostenterprises.com/utmost_001.htm and they sell all rainshadow blanks for 25% off MSRP what a deal! I think they are great for the money break one and its like 30 bucks for a new section pretty good warranty and all, the actions ofcourse cant be compared to a Winston or Sage but they are worth the money...
