There were some members that whet up to South Bend to go Steelhead fishing. What a hardy bunch to brave such weather to chase such a mighty fish. The river was swollen and biting at the trees along the banks. They had come to FISH and not site see so in the water they set foot, but after many a cast the river handed them defeat. Not to be left empty handed on to our neighboring state and the Dowagiac River and the pursuit was on again. A quick stop off at Wal-Mart, man was that parking lot full of suckers, into the swift current, and cold water we went. The snow was in the woods and the beauty of other Nature surrounded us. Time was against us and before any fish was hooked off we went into the sunset. There was a detour to a local pub recommended by our guide. There is never a bad time going fishing with with your buddies and for all but the guide, it was a scouting trip with much information going home with us. Stay tuned for more adventure in the near future.

Got some pics, but I'm not smart enough to figure out how to post them. I think they are on the website we were instructed to use. I don't know how to transfer them to this site. I'll have to have a one on one with the webmaster.

SJVM, Hoping to return at the end of the month. The Michigan trout season opener is the 26th and there are members wanting to go. If time would allow I would like to throw a few flies for steelhead before we return. Thanks for the input.
