Dad and I went down to Reelfoot Lake again this year for my spring break. We stayed with the good people at Gray's Camp on the upper end of the lake called the Blue Basin. It was windy, but we found some cover in amongst the Cypress trees and lily pads. We didn't catch many fish, but the ones we did catch were very nice keeper size bluegill and a few crappie. Dad caught a real nice bass as we drifted along the trees in the wind. It was a great trip, even though the fishing was slow. Dad was using live bait most of the time, while I stuck to my guns and used wet flies. Here are a few pics from our trip.
Beautiful places and hungry fish are proof that God loves us and wants to see us happy.
