With all the request for Dustin to show the Dub-ciever again in August, we will try an open tie again.
If you need help on anything bring your materials and I'm sure someone will help you out.
I won't be able to make this one I'm going to be in Piegon Forge. Hopefully fishing for smallies in the Little Piegon River and for trout in the park.

Trent, You don't know who you are talking about. I've seen Krebsie dance like he was weightless when he hooks a big bass; or even when he talks about hooking a big Snook in Florida! His Jigs are Legendary!
A Popper demo from him would be awesome!

Another thought on the September tying, since we are coming into hopper season, might be some hopper patterns.
I can tie a madame x, but I'd love to do a Letort or Dave's, etc. Granted, they involve the deer hair head (which I'm less than thrilled about), but I probably just need to practice. There are some cool foam pattern out there too.

Speaking of the popper head jigs, I'm wondering if there is a way to create a Sneaky Pete slider type body with them? Could you just take the normal popper head and flip it around backwards when you tie it?

Hey Barry - any pics of your sneaky petes?
P.S. I was looking at the pics you brought back from Colorado. I didn't get a chance to talk to you after the meeting because I had to get the daughter home for bed, but those were some FAT trout you all were catching. Looked like a blast!

I'd be glad to teach the popper class again. Thanks to all of you who are fishing my poppers and for all the encouragement you hand out. Thanks for your support! And yes I have been known to do a bit of a jig when I catch fish but I doubt if any of you would want to see it, maybe radio, but probably no one else!!!! Don Werdon and I are heading to Missouri this evening to check out a trout hatchery for a possible trip for the club next year. I'll have a report posted when we get back. Thanks for all the tips from several members last night, Trout fishing is something brand new for me. Should be an experience! Krebsie

Oh No! I won't be able to attend flytying Thursday night. And it's not because I forgot to bake the cookies...just got WAY too many irons in the fire (work/HSmarching band). My apologies gents (and ladies!)

Crap.... I was hoping to show you my new homemade fly rod. Oh well, better luck next time. It's a permanent passenger in whatever car I'm driving. That is by far the best rod I've ever cast. And I've cast Sage, Orvis, Redington, St. Croix., of course, now I'm a little bias...

AHHHH, the proud papa syndrome.
Isn't it amazing what can happen to a blank when you take time to assemble the guides on it?
