I just happened to get a crappy video today of Krebs fishing a 3/4" popper on an 8 weight rod. This would be a very aggressive retrieve. Normally we would twitch, twitch and let it sit then repeat.

floated the tippy. yesterday with my buddy John C. Wonderful day! Caught quite a few fish, mostly large mouth bass. Strange! Although John posted this picture of me with a large mouth, he was the, real, star of the day. John boated, I'm guessing, a dozen large mouth, 2 that were quite a bit bigger than this one, but we didn't get pictures. He also hooked up with one that was, we're guessing, in the 4 to 5 pound range. The fish jumped a couple times for us then broke the tippet off, Aaarg! The 3/4 in. popper was quite the show, just knowing we could cast the thing was pretty cool, but then watching that thing pound the water and throw a 2 foot wave in front of it was, well, lol quite ridiculous. Not sure what kind of fish would care for a tasty treat that makes that much noise and commotion, maybe a Muskie, Peacock Bass or a Marlin? Check out the new popper pattern in this basses mouth, It's the Poppin Minnow! Will do a tutorial later after we perfect the pattern. This is the first one and the first fish on it. Great day John, Thanks! I need that!! Krebsie
