JC before you spend $300.00 on a pair of Simms waders (and believe me I'm not knocking Simms they make very good waders) check out The Orvis Silver label. I've had a pair for close to 10 seasons and have yet to get a hole in them. When I bought mine they were still under $200.00 that's probably not true today but I bet they are still close. They have many of the same features as waders twice the price. When this pair does wear out I'm going to replace them with the same thing.

Just looked at my Orvis catalog.
The Orvis Silver Label waders are listed at $249 for the stockingfoot and $298 for a bootfoot.
Their least expensive, Endura, list for $149. But no gravel gaurds.
They do have a new wader with gravel gaurds, the Pack and Travel for $198.
I have a pair of Silver Labels that are over ten years old. The only leak I have had is when I busted my butt in the smokies. But it patched up without a problem.
I like them better than my Cabela's waist waders.

BarryL just recommended the Orvis Silver labels. Too late though I just bought a pair of Simms. Tried them out yesterday and loved them. Bought a pair of Korker boots as well. Wow what a difference over my old stuff.

You know how much I love my Simms waders. Best pair I've ever owned. I paid 200 for mine, so not too bad.

Last year I bought a pair of Simms L2's and boots to match at half off when Simms discontinued them. Love them. Also liked my Cabelas Premium Dry Plus Bootfoots too...no leaks in them in over 6-7 years...tho I only wade about 3-4 times a year. I'm sure Orvis makes good'ns too but love my Simms.
...your mileage may vary
