Unfortunately, I KNOW I'll be leaving by around noon. Love to stay but I can't stay much later than that.

Thought I would smoke 20 lbs of love and bring it to the picnic. Pork to the people!

JC; Thanks for the pictures! Glad Monica you/Dustin were able to get her on some fish - she does love catching fish! And, I echo your words - a BIG thank you to Rick, Dustin, Bob Lyons for letting us use his beautiful laek and everyone else who helped plan the event and pitched in food, drinks, etc. It was a great day to be on the water. It is fun to be part of a club where people like to be involved and the fellowship is so great! Thanks again! I also agree that it might be time for Gary Krebs to bring his jig set to a fly tying session and show how to make 'em! I bought a set of jigs off him last year and I think they are great when it comes to making poppers! Pat

Great pix! And love the one with Rick workin' the grill! Wish I could've been there but had a family reunion to attend. Now I can hang with my TFF family!
Thanks for posting everyone!

There is nothing like a day on the water, any water with fish in it.

Ditto that: radio, I had to go to a wedding in Ohio. Looks like everyone had a great time. See everyone next Thursday!

As much as this pains me to say, nice fish Monica.
I was exuberantly accosted at church this morning by Monica asking if I'd seen the pics of her fish. I think it was fair to say she was pleased.
Nice work on putting together a fun event. I attempted to row the pontoon and fish and have Sophia on the back also fishing. Let's just say that was about two too many things to try to do at once and we spent most of our time untangling lines and having the wind blow us into submerged tree branches. Oh well, it was fun anyway.

I would like to thank Rick & Dustin for putting on the event and for Dustin and John in helping me catch some beautiful fish! They canoe'd me all around the lake, chasing a school of bass and it really was about the most exciting thing!! John was nice in his use of the word jubilation. For those out of earshot, I was screaming and laughing and screaming. It was such a thrill and such a blast. Dustin and John were terrific in coaching me (especially in NOT standing up in the canoe with all three of us in it!). So much fun. The food was great too. Looking forward to next year. And, thank you Trent for the nice fish comment. But, I do think "accosting" is a bit harsh. I think approached or shared is a bit more accurate. It has been suggested that I change my Board name to something like basschaser . . . I will be giving that some thought. Monica

Glad to see everyone with the smiles. It is good time and I was sorry to miss it for the first time. Glad to see Rick as the cook, pretty hot standing over those grills. Monica, U look sooooooooooooo happy. Would have been there but I was jumping out of an airplane with my daughter. Bigger thrill than a bass, don't worry fly fishing is still my first pick.

Thank you Rick and Bob! (He and Bob Lyons deserve all the credit). They planned this event. All I had to do was show up this time. Wow! What a great day! Thanks John the use of your canoe and for posting the pictures. I truly believe watching Monica chase those bass with her popper and then seeing them eat it, and hearing her screaming at the top of her lungs was about the funniest thing I've ever experienced. I could not stop laughing as she battled those bass to the boat. What a sight that was! Way to go Monica! You were awesome! Stories such as those need to be recorded in books and re-lived and re-told forever. Rick, if you have the picture of our faithful ship, The S.S. Minnow, I'd love to see it! I can't tell you how scared I was that we were going over...But, we didn't and that in itself was amazing. Thank you everyone for your participation. The fishing, food and fellowship is second to none!
