I fished the MI trout opener this past weekend, on the Au Sable river outside grayling, managed one nice fish for the trip. Caught halfway between McMasters and Parmalee bridges. 20.5" Taken on a Kelly Galloup's "Double Screamer" My biggest MI fish to date!

Sweet, it looks like you were fishing from a drift boat.

The fly was a double screamer, it has a sparkle body and olive and black marabou on it.

Very nice fish -- congrats. The Au Sable is one of the most beautiful streams anywhere and has opportunities for everyone. I fished it about 50 years ago a lot, then moved from Midland, MI, to WLaf, and didn't fish it again until about 3 or 4 years ago. Will be fishing it daily for a week beginning June 1.
Would like very much to get together for coffee and talk about joint trips to Grayling.
