Wayne just emailed me these pictures of a Dolly Varden caught in Alaska near Juneau on Jun 16, 2011 and a salmon caught on Sep 8th 2011. "We caught a ton of them from 14 on up on streamer flies. It was a 15 min fly in. After 3 hours, my arm was so tired that I had to quit -- best half day fishing in my whole life!" "The salmon was caught by wading in an inlet off Lake Michigan at Charlevoix at about 7:00 am on Sep 8, 2011. The salmon was exactly 31 inches and approx 17 lbs. Used a spoon and 9 ft spinning rod. Lots of casting for only a little action but worth it. One picture shows my host and fishing buddy-- we first started fishing together in 1958. (No, that's not an error, it was in 1958)." Way to go Wayne!

Very nice, Wayne!!
I'm jealous! I would love to even have a chance to catch a Dolly Varden. Great fish and a great day, it sounds like. I agree, the smiles say it all!
