Hi fellow fly fishers, Looks like we are set to float the Tippy on Sunday, August 7th. Space in canoes is limited to 3 right now as we have John Clanton, Gary Newlon, and Gary Krebs confirmed as canoe pilots. If you have a canoe, kayak, or pontoon boat come join us. Please post so we know who is available and/or interested. Space in the canoes will be first come, first serve unless other arrangements have already been made.
My guess is that we will meet at the Hwy 18 Bridge parking lot at the Tippecanoe River at 5:30 a.m. to get an early start. Should this change, we'll post that news by Saturday.
It is still pretty hot out there so bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
Looking forward to the trip - as with all club events such as this, you partake at your own risk and hold TFF harmless. I say this I have fallen into the Tippy more times than I can count and it can get a bit dangerous out there too.
Take care, Don Werden VP Community

As of now I'll be there. I'd love to be able to ride in a canoe, but I'll take the 'yak if need be.
As of right now we're looking at 88 and partly cloudy. This might just be a great day of fishing. If the cows are standing up, that is.

I'm looking forward to it. I have only fished locally once this year.

As per the opening statement on this tread, this is why we affectionately refer to a header in the Tippy as a "DON". ::)Everyone have fun and be safe

We'll miss you on this float, Barry, and if I fall in again I sure hope someone takes a picture so you get a hearty laugh. I'll most likely be on my kayak unless there is an extra seat in a canoe.

Dan T is riding with me in my canoe. I'll plan on 5:30am on Sunday at Hwy18 and the Tippy but we'll talk about it Thursday night at fly tying.

Barry, Don and I did 10 miles on the Wildcat last Sunday and neither of us fell in! Falling in might have been the smart thing to do though with that heat.

If no one calls it, I'll ride with you. I always have the 'yak option if we get more people coming

Well the seats in the canoes have been filled up. If you still want to go, you'll need to have your own canoe/kayak/boat. ;D

There is nothing like a day on the water, any water with fish in it.

Marlene Joseph said it is OK to put in at her place. It would be nice if we send her a Thank You note.
