So, I've been lurking on these boards for a while now. I started tying flies when I was a kid and recently took it up again. I've got a five weight rod with a double taper floating line. I'm really interested in steelhead flies and traditional wet flies, mostly for the art part of it. They are just such good looking flies! I like fishing for everything though. Anyhow, I'm on the road a lot for my job and I live in Indy. I'm currently at a hotel and I've made three wet flies and a black wooly bugger today. I have fished fairfield a few times and it's usually pretty good. I'm definitely looking to try and find some new places to fish too. I've got a decent handle on a lot of fly tying techniques but am usually trying to learn new techniques and styles too. Anyhow, feel free to message me anytime if you have any tips, questions, or fishing hotspots! I can be a bit long-winded as well. Sorry for that. Laters

Welcome aboard. What vise do you use to tie and how do you like it?

JCPilot, sounds good, message sent. Email me whenever. Prybis, I've got a vice that i've been using for probably fifteen years. I don't even know what make or model it is and I could really use a newer one, probably will be doing that at some point here. It's a few steps up from using a "C" clamp, but it does the job and i'm pretty comfortable with it. What do you tie on?

I tie on a Nor-Vise and love it. It makes rotary tying very easy, simple, and fast.
