This is how far back to lay a thread base and tie in the 1/8" clear scud back material. The scud back is extremely fragile and easy to tear with thread or too much pressure. Rstaight suggested using a plastic bag. I missed photographing tying in the ribbing material.
Tie in ribbing material before dubbing. Dub towards eye and leave 1/8".
In this photo you can see the dubbing has been stroked downwards to smooth out the back and create the legs.
Hungarian partridge for legs.
