Don Werden, Dave Hosler and I fished the lower Tippy river during the TFF tournament Saturday. Don was alerted to some nervous water up ahead of us. We pushed up slowly and anchored, made a few casts, then off to the left I saw this fish cruising along a submerged log. I made a cast and was a bit behind the fish, so I picked up the cast for another shot. I noticed that the fish swirled hard at where the fly had hit on the first cast so I dropped the fly right back where it was and "POW". This 29" Asian Carp ate, and ate very aggressively. Was using a TFO 6wt tipped with a modified Tarpon Toad pattern that Capt. Tim Kline designed for Bone Fish. Was a wonderful fight that lasted maybe 10 minutes topped off with a Big High 5 from Dr. Don!
