I'm going down to fl next month and just found a great deal on a guide. Capt. Terry Lamielle out of little known Grant FL. He is offering a fish with the guide 1/2 day (4 hours) for $200.00 this is the Indian River Inlet over by Coco Beach, Melbourne area. Most guides in there are running between $325.00 and $400.00 for 1/2 day. The catch is you go by yourself and he fishes with you.(I almost always invite my guides to fish some it's a great way to learn new methods) I'll let you all know how it works out when I get back Barryl

Capt. Terry Lamielle I give a big thumbs up. If any one is going to be near the Melbourne, Vero Beach area I would not hesitate to recommend Captain Terry out of the John Jorgenson Landing 5045 south us Hwy 1 32949. 321-573-5346 He has been guiding for 9 years in both salt (brackish) water and fresh. He will tell you right up front that he has only been fly fishing for 4 of those 9 years however, I was impressed not only by what he has picked up in that short period of time but also his willingness to listen to suggestions.( ask him how he got started guiding good short story) He has lived in Florida most of his life and is very very familiar with his territory. Also unlike many guides in Florida he structure fishes rather than utilizing sight fishing. If you are unfamiliar with salt water tactics this allows you to use much of what you have learned on local waters. Sight fishing is productive but requires a high level of skill, so if you are new to salt water or not very confident in your abilities Capt. Terry is your man. His equipment is top notch G.Loomis rods and Old Florida reels, shows he is committed to a good day on the water. Combine this with a 2year old flats boat rigged to the gills and a casting deck to die for at a cost of $53,000.00 (yes I asked) and your in for the back water Florida experience. When I booked this trip I thought I was headed for some big red fish action......I was not. BUT! to my delight I was smack in the middle of snook, jack creville, and triple tail boulevard. (and even a cat fish for good measure) I have a nice picture of a jack but I borrowed a digital water proof camera and my card reader won't read it....bummer dude. The day was all to short because of the heat, and I was told by Capt. Terry that Fall during the mullet run is his best time of year. And that jacks of 25lbs are common then. So if you happen to be with in 100 miles of little known Grant Fl. give the Capitan a call you won't regret it. barryl
P.S. Off to the great state of Colorado in 2 weeks with a float trip planed on the Colorado river with the same guide I used in Steamboat Springs last fall, hope to share a great story from that trip as well...........tight lines

Have the greatest of times even though I hate you, no just extremely jealous. I can't even get down the road to the neighbors pond. Do I sound like a whinner? Boo Hoo. Take a bunch of pixs.
