I got to try my new Orvis wet wade boot/shoe. They are priced in the catalog at $89.00 I bought them with one of their in store $25.00 off coupons making them with tax $72. They have a partial felt bottom that give excellent grip on slick rocks but, still gives good grip on dry or wet ground. They also come with neoprene socks that provide comfort and a gravel guard for the bare foot. I did notice some small pebbles got in the shoe but not in the sock so they were cushioned. They could be used with waders as a boot and added value. They are well made and offer good protection and support. All in all I am very pleased with them and give this product a big thumbs up and a good dollar value, not commonly found with Orvis.
PS. As a side note if you are planning a trip west, check if felt is still allowed in the state you are planning to fish, there has been some talk about possible effects from it's use.

After reading Barry's post, I decided to look into the shoes since I hate waders in the summer. Went to Orvis on Saturday before the Tippe' float and picked a pair up. I'd say they're one of the best purchases this summer. Not wading with rocks in your shoes/sandals is awesome ;D

Those looked pretty nice Dave glad you like them. I went the neoprene wading sock and use my existing wading boots. I have not tried them yet though.
