I just checked on the walmart site. They sell Madison Pontoon Boat for just under $300 and the Colorado (which is nicer, more features) for about $340.

Pat,
I am setting here with the Cabelas Fly Fishing catalog in front of me. They have an inflatable made by Classic Accessories that I would consider for $250. If you are wanting something with a molded seat you are looking at $500 and up.
They do however have a new item called a Tahoe Fisher Pontoon Boat. It is has hard pontoons like the Hobie but is listed for only $400. That would warrent some consideration.
The thing is it would have to be ordered. We made a trip to Hammond in the late fall and they didn't have any of this type of watercraft in the store. The only small watercraft they had was kayaks. (another option?)

Rick; Thanks for the info! I will check it out. I LOVE the Cabela's store - my wife doesn't! I'm only allowed to go there in her company and it's NOT because she likes it! If Trent happens to be along, she locks up the checkbook - we usually manage to find something we can't live without. Pat

Rick:
I was just quickly checking out these on the Cabela's site. The $250 boat got HAMMERED on customer reviews.
There is only one review so far of the Tahoe Fisher, but the reviewer seems to know what he is talking about. Of course it could be the owner of the company that makes them posting in disguise, who knows, but it has potential.

That Tahoe Fisher at Cabela's is quite an outfit. The review it received was excellent. I own a pontoon boat and I'm considering that one with the molded pontoons. But, then my wife reminded me that I need to buy new tires for her car.... Only dreaming.

In thinking about the Blue Gill Bash and other fishing opportunities, I am looking at the Cimarron 8' Pontoon by Classic Accessories. Anybody know anything about it?
